USG – ultrasound
USG of the liver. – Shear Wave Elastography. Hepatic fibrosis is a frequent consequence of chronic liver diseases, especially chronic virus hepatitis type B and C. Liver biopsy is the gold standard in the assessment of fibrosis. However, due to invasive character and the risk of serious complications, non-invasive techniques of fibrosis assessment are becoming more and more popular. SWE, also referred to as dynamic elastography is the newest one. This examination is performed by means of USG apparatus equipped with the special probe and software. It is safe, painless and non-invasive for a patient. SWE efficiency is similar to that of traditional biopsy, that is why it is often called
a non-invasive liver biopsy. An indication for SWE elastography of the liver is an introductory assessment of hepatic fibrosis, control of disease and its treatment progress. The examination is widely used in the patients with virus HBV type B and C, fatty liver disease, alcoholic liver damage, diseases of biliary excretion system and haemochromatosis. It is worth to emphasize that the examination also enables to obtain a reliable result in the patients suffering from obesity and ascites.
SWE elastography is performed by a specialist, who, during the examination may additionally examine a shape, size and echo structure of the liver which allows for the diagnosis of cysts, hemangiomas or tumours. It is also possible to evaluate flows in the portal system which is significant for the patients with suspected fibrosis and cirrhosis. USG of the pelvis minor. USG of the anal canal and the rectum - the examination is performed by means of a rotating 3D high frequency probe possessed by very few centers in Poland thanks to which it is possible to view the whole off the anal canal and the rectum. The rotating 3D probe has a spinning shape and provides 360° image contrary to other types of probes which enable to see only a fragment of the anal canal. Obtaining the image of the whole circuit of the anal canal and the rectum gives an opportunity to compare the intestine wall, and consequently, allows for an accurate identification of lesions. Voiding sonourethrography – this is a contrast-enhanced USG examination. It allows for diagnosing vesicoureteric reflux (VUR) in children without the risk connected with radiation of very sensitive organs such as ovaries and testes. During this examination it is possible to observe short-term, non-permanent vesicoureteric refluxes which are not always visible on voiding cysteurethrography) VCUG.
USG of the breasts USG of the thyroid USG of the prostate USG of the abdominal cavity USG of the muscles and joints USG of the reproductive organ Ultrasonography of heart, echocardiogram In Top Medical, echocardiology examinations in children and adults (Ultrasonography of heart, echocardiogram) are carried out by means of EPIQ 5G, which allows for the profound examination of myocardial contractility guaranteed by the automatic analysis of the global longitudinal deformation made with the method of speckle tracking along with the automatic analysis of the left-ventricular ejection fraction.
2D/3D USG of pregnancy and 4D and 4DHDLive. – the examinations performed in Top Medical provide an opportunity of a very accurate evaluation of the intra-uterine development of a fetus, imaging of nuchal transculency (NT), the nasal bone, generating of the image of fetus’s heart (arterial and venous ducts, outflow tracts of the left and right ventricle, arterial arch), giving a precise date of a childbirth. Additionally, the registered 3D images are stored in the apparatus memory so they can be compared as well as sent to reference centers in Poland and abroad.
– 3D via vagina examination performed by means of high frequency probes allows for imaging of the urine tube and the structures that sustain it as well as the muscles of the pelvis minor. It guarantees the diagnosis of the causes of urinary incontinence, di sorders of the reproductive organ statics in women as well as the precise assessment of the effects of operational treatment in the area of pelvis minor.
